A commonly observed variant in which an eversion of the ectocervix appears as a symmetrical, circumscribed redness around the cervical os. Common symptoms include vaginal discharge, postcoital bleeding, and other contact-related bleeding. It is a benign condition commonly seen in adolescence, pregnancy, or when taking estrogen-containing birth control.
