Caused by a flagellated protozoan, this sexually transmitted infection is usually asymptomatic in males and symptomatic in females, causing a characteristic frothy discharge of various colors (e.g., yellow, green, white, gray) that is often associated with burning and itching. Strawberry cervix may also be a finding, but is rare.
