Condition when a person has less than normal resistance to a disease or infection due to a predisposition or pathological change in physiology that decreases the ability to mount an effective response. Susceptibility is also a term used in reference to a pathogen that is able to be eradicated or reduced by means of a particular drug to which it is susceptible.
