A HASP formally identifies the potential health and safety risks and countermeasures associated with operational unit practices. It addresses practices put in place to help prevent illness or injury. HASPs generally include identification of potentially unsafe environments, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), health or medical countermeasure practices, ingress and egress practices, and method for assessing unsafe situations.
