Considered to be benign skin variants often found in older adults. Angiokeratomas may appear as asymptomatic papules or plaques varying in color (e.g., blue, red, purple, black) and result from small, dilated, or thrombosed blood vessels that have distended into the dermis and epidermis. Angiokeratomas of Fordyce are found on the penis, scrotum, labia majora, vulva, inner thigh, and abdomen.
