A method by which the location of a structure or finding is described using the numerals on the face of a clock as an analogy. The 12 o’clock position is superior (up) and the 6 o’clock position is inferior (down). For orientation purposes, and for clarity and consistency, the position of a patient must be indicated when using this type of description.
