A binocular instrument with a light source and magnifying lens for direct observation and enhanced visualization of cervical and vaginal tissues. Magnification levels differ across instruments and may include a camera and/or other recording devices. Clinically used to enhance visualization during diagnostic and treatment procedures (e.g., colposcopy, biopsy) and for photodocumentation during forensic-medical examinations.
