A type of catheter, named after its inventor, American urologist Frederic Foley. Has an inflatable balloon tip that is designed to secure the catheter in the bladder, but may be used for other purposes (e.g., to stop blood flow within the nasal cavity or a blood vessel, to visualize the female genitalia during sexual assault examinations).
