A collection of computer programs designed to work together to handle an application, either by passing data from one to another or as components of a single system. Integrated systems may include Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management System, Laboratory Information Management System, and Property Evidence Module. (The Biological Evidence Preservation Handbook, 2013). Integrated software systems in healthcare may include electronic health record (EHR), medical laboratory (LIMS) and pharmacy systems.
