A formal graduate degree at the Masters level for the nursing discipline. May focus on any specialty within nursing and concentrate on education, practice, or research. Comprises the minimal level of education required to become an advanced practice registered nurse, although not all nurses with a Masters degree in nursing are eligible to become advanced practice registered nurses.
