A variant of the lateral-recumbent position in which a person lies on his/her side, slightly leaning forward with the torso in a prone position and drawing up one’s knee/thigh. The patient is typically on the left side to facilitate anorectal and/or gynecological procedures (e.g., enema) as it lends to exposure of the anogenital region while maintaining the patient’s comfort.
